No vegetables at lunch time!!

Auckland Hospital has a policy - "no vegetables at lunch time"!!! I asked - I even wrote it into the menu, I suggested peas, carrots. I mentioned that vegetables are good for people (some people might be impressed that even I have learned that). But NO! No vegetables at lunch time!! It's policy.



AUCKLAND HOSPITAL - CAN WE PLEASE HAVE A LITTLE SALAD TO GO WITH OUR BLAND MACARONI AND CHEESE!!

Anesthetic Inspiration

What can you say about recovering from an anesthetic - there's nothing quite so inspiring as hospital curtains!!

ECG

Well - it's kinda personal - my heart rate - unassisted at 69bpm. Not Bad!!! However it didn't last - thus the pacemaker.

Support Undivided

Fiona - a person of personal strength, my rock!! A wonderful carer, a compassionate generous wonderful partner. As I was wheeled away for surgery I am told I asked Fiona for one last hug and kiss and told her "I'm loving my life" - there are no truer words!

Air Ambulance

As I was loading yesterday's photo - my pacemaker lost power!! Thus after 24hrs the Air Ambulance was brought into commission to get me from Whangarei hospital to Auckland hospital. Not really an emergency - just a precaution.... and a great flight!

Farewell O Tannebaum

Its hard to believe the summer holidays are almost over. It was definitely time to farewell our christmas tree. It might seem unbelievable that we still had it glorifying our home - but it was our first Christmas tree in our new house and stood a mighty 3metres high - it was hard to say goodbye - but it will make great firewood.

Garden inspiration

Contrary to popular belief I do spend time away from the computer - but am trying not to spend too much time away from my camera. Inspiration I discovered whilst gardening...

Ok - I thought this was a great photo to begin this blog. Truth be known it is not from your tomorrow as the Police Concert I attended took place last Saturday. But I thought this was a great shot - and what better way to begin a new photoblog but with a great photo!
